About StatPsyched

StatPsyched exists to demystify research and statistics for every student who feels lost in the world of data.

Our mission is simple: to make advanced research methodology & statistics accessible, understandable, and even (dare we say) fun. Whether you need a full research internship to build your CV, a data analysis course to conquer your fear, or just some thesis help to get unstuck, we've got your back.

Sonakshi (Sasha) Bansal is a PhD candidate in Psychology and the founder of StatPsyched. After witnessing the universal struggle students face with statistics and research methods, she created a solution. As an experienced instructor who has taught Research Methodology and Statistics at the university level, and a published researcher in top-tier academic encyclopedias like Springer Nature, Sasha knows what it takes to succeed.

She has channeled this expertise into StatPsyched, transforming it from a data analysis venture into a global hub where students gain not just knowledge, but proven results, including co-authored publications. Her mission is to replace statistical anxiety with unwavering confidence, providing the practical skills and mentorship that university curricula often miss.

Sasha holds an MSc in Psychological Sciences from State University of New York, and is currently pursuing her PhD from Ashoka University, India. Her research interest lies in studying non-suicidal self-injury. She has published over 10 peer reviewed articles, and has presented her work in international conferences like The NorthEastern Evolutionary Psychology Society conference.

Meet the Guides of Your StatPsyched Journey

At the heart of StatPsyched are our two guides, Krishna and Arjun. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of Indian mythology, they personify the journey every psychology student takes from confusion to clarity.

Through their conversations, we break down the complex "battlefield" of research methods, statistics, and data analysis into simple, actionable lessons.

Have you ever opened a psychology textbook and felt like Arjun in the battlefield—motivated, but completely overwhelmed? That’s exactly who Arjun represents.

Arjun is every psychology student who’s ever looked at a research article, a brain diagram, or a stats formula and thought, “Umm… what is going on?”

Curious, confused, relatable, and honest about his struggles, Arjun is modeled after the Arjuna of the Mahabharata—the skilled warrior who still needed guidance to realise his true potential.

Through Arjun’s questions, doubts, mini-panics, and little victories, StatPsyched brings the journey of every beginner to life. He learns just like you do—one concept, one mistake, and one breakthrough at a time.

The student in all of us: Curious, capable, but sometimes confused!
Catch up on all their past adventures here, and follow us on Instagram to stay updated on their latest journey!

Have you ever needed a guide who actually guides you? Someone who doesn’t make you feel silly for asking basic questions, and who can turn the hardest theories into simple, “Ohhh, now I get it!” moments?

Krishna is that mentor.

Inspired by the wisdom and calm of Lord Krishna from Indian mythology, this character embodies clarity, patience, and direction. Whether it’s breaking down statistics or helping you make sense of cognitive theories, Krishna steps in like that one professor who gets you, who knows you’re confused, overwhelmed, and trying your best.

He’s here to support your journey through psychology, one gentle, insightful explanation at a time.

Your psychology mentor you always wished you had!

Sasha was friendly and supportive, made me feel encouraged to begin the process of research, and made concepts that I had previously found daunting much easier to understand. It was a lovely experience overall, and the insights that I gained from the session would help me in starting my research.
